Hello Family!!

We've had another really good week in Milton. We were able to reach standards in member present lessons and finding new investigators. Yahoo! This next week we are going to do everything we can to get our investigators to church! We've totally struggled with that this transfer! Church is about 20 mins away which makes it a little tricky. But we know it can happen! We'll work on it!

MILTON IS SO HAPPY AND CUTE: On Saturday Milton had a Street Fest and it was SO CUTE! Main street was blocked off and they had music and food and little shops and lots of kid activities. It was just full of happy families. We spent a couple hours there passing out mormon.org cards and talking to lots of people. It was so fun but kind of hard to ignore the cool music that was so loudly playing. It made me miss Provo and all the outdoor concerts I've been to. But then I remembered how much I love being a missionary and it was fine! :)

BRINGING THE YOUNGSTERS WITH US: We had a young women, Kayla, come teaching and contacting with us on Saturday. We were able to teach two lessons and contact a ton of people that were at the Street Fest in. Kayla was really nervous at the beginning of the day but she was passing out cards by herself by the end and she was so glad she came with us. We want to continue to bring out the youth with us! They're amazing!

WHERE DOES IT SAY THAT IN THE BIBLE: We met David on Saturday while we were contacting at the Street Fest. He's so nice and friendly and doesn't stop smiling... It's almost a little creepy. But he is a Christian and LOVES the Bible but thinks that any other scripture is from Satan. Great. He has met with missionaries before and knows about the Book of Mormon but he wanted to meet with us and so we could tell me why we believe in the Book of Mormon. Yep, we can do that!! We met with him again on Sunday and luckily we had a member in our ward, Brother Goodrich, come with us. He was very honest and liked to argue. Every time we said something and he didn't believe it he would ask, "where does it say that in the bible?" Our member was so awesome and always pulled out bomb scriptures from the bible that totally supported what we were sharing with him. David still doubted so in the end we just told him that it he wants to know he needs to read from the Book of Mormon and ask God. We can't prove to him that it's true. Our member told David that he needed to put his pride aside and read with an open heart. David didn't ask where that was in the bible. Ha But he's willing to read from the Book of Mormon and we're meeting with him next week to see what his experiences were like. I just hope he reads in sincerely and not with the intent to find fault in it. It was an interesting lesson. I kind of like lessons like that because we just testify and smile the whole time! Our message IS TRUE!!

I CAN'T TAKE YOUR CARD: We invite a lot of people to check out mormon.org. Most of the time when people don't want it their response is pretty clear and boring. But this last week someone said, "I can't take your card. I have no pockets..." Yeah, he totally had pockets and when he looked down and noticed what pants he was wearing he got embarrassed and just walked away quickly. Haha!

WE DON'T DRINK VODKA: On Wednesday we dropped by Luca to see how he was doing. When we got to his house we saw that he was working on his garden! Perfect. We were in our regular Sunday clothes but still offered to help. He told us we didn't need to help but we just started pulling weeks. We ended up helping him for about an hour and we got super dirty. It was funny! He felt bad so kept on offering us drinks. I started with water then went to juice and finally he offered beer and vodka. Ha we just started laughing and told him we didn't drink.  Now when we teach him word of wisdom he won't be as surprised. Yay!

FINDING NEW: We've been trying to come up with new ideas to find people. The other day we tried to find through singing. When we knocked on the door we would ask them if we could sing them a song. I thought everyone would say yes but so many said no!? We were ticked! Ha but don't worry! Jean said yes and now she's an investigator. She was so sweet and while we sang to her she just closed her eyes and rocked back and forth. We also had another idea to do a survey day. On Saturday we're going to the park and asking people to take a 5 question survey. We'll just ask them if they believe in God and Jesus Christ. If they've ever heard of the Book of Mormon. And if they'd be interested in meeting with us
