Hello to the best family EVA! How is everyone doing? I hope that you're all doing well with the news about Uncle Tom. I'm really glad I found out from President Clayton. When we saw that he was calling I was kind of expecting to hear that news but at the same time it seemed unreal. After he told me he talked about how I can help people understand the Plan of Salvation so they have the same peace that I have. It was perfect. I'm so blessed to have him as a mission President. Any ways, I don't think it's fully clicked yet. I can't picture Aunt Barbs place without him. I can't picture watching conference without him. But wow, I feel so blessed that we knew him and were able to learn from him. I have a picture with him that was taken after my dance concert. He and Aunt Barb were so cute for coming! Wow, I love them. I totally want to put the picture on my desk. How is Aunt Barb doing? I've been praying for her! I really hope she's doing OK. After he called Sister Chelson and I just talked about how grateful we are for the Plan of Salvation. I feel so blessed that I have an opportunity to dedicate my time right now to help people learn and understand what we know! It has brought me so much hope in life. Especially with dad! I don't know where I would be without the Gospel. It scares me! But I KNOW that I will see him again. And I KNOW that he is so involved in my life right now. Isn't the Gospel great!?
BUMMER: To be honest this week was a little slow which has been a little discouraging. We had so many appointment get cancelled last minuet. We have a lot of investigators but we're struggling to helping them progress. We know that Milton has so much potential. And we really are working hard! We know it will come as continue to be more consecrated missionaries!
FAMILY HISTORY, WE ARE DOING IT: Our recent convert, AJ, and us met with our family history consultant a couple days ago and started his family history. He brought the information he had and we helped him start his account. He was really excited about it. He's totally motivated right now to continue to collect more information so he can add more.
BIKING FOR DAYZ: So the bikes are still super fun! My bod is a little less sore, so that's happy. The other day we rode like 20 k's so it's been a good work out. The only bad thing about bikes is we show up to places sweaty.... Oh well :) The other day we put our helmets on and we were trying to get the bikes off the rack. We both bent down at the same time and hit heads so hard! BAHAHA good thing we had helmets on.
PEOPLE ARE SERIOUSLY SO NICE: This super cute couple in our ward invited us to Sushi a couple days ago. We were stoked! Our GPS took us to the old location and we were more than 20 minutes late. I felt awful. They were so nice and had totally waited for us to start. The food was soooo good. Oh man, I ate a lot. And we had an awesome lesson about prayer! They shared some really cool experiences that they've had with prayer. You guys, the power of prayer is REAL! Any ways, Sister Chelson saw the check for the meal and guess how much it was?? IT WAS OVER $100. FOR THE FOUR OF US. Ah, I felt bad! But I guess they knew it would be expensive. They are so nice. We gave them a nice thank you card the next day at church!
THE TAYLORS: This amazing couple is moving out of our ward to guess where? P-TOWN! I'm so excited for them. They'll love it. I wrote about them last week. We made lots of fun connections. I totally want to meet up with them when I come home. On Sunday they spoke in sacrament meeting and their talks were amazing. Sister Taylor talked about enjoying the journey and just being happy. I loved it. Especially on the mission we have things that are hard but we need to just enjoy what we're doing and focus on the miracles that are happening! Brother Taylor talked about how the Gospel has blessed his families life. It was awesome.
HAIR: You guys, I got my hair cut again... Like it's at my shoulders. You'll have to wait for next week to see! And Sister Chelson cut her hair too. IT'S ADORABLE! She had crazy long hair and cut a few inches off. I love changes. So fun.
Have you all seen the video of Uncle Tom on the lds.org website? If you haven't repent and go watch it. It's amazing. my eyes got watery. Also you should all look up the song, "We'll Be There" by Conlon Bonner and Josie Scere. I LOVE IT. Like we play and sing it all the time and it makes me so happy!!
I love you all LOTS.
Sister Dayton
Our AC broke so we had to have a sleepover in the main room. With the door open. And yes, we have our awesome nighties on. And yes, they're purple with a cat on it. So HAPPY.
The Taylor's! We'll miss them A LOT.
It was so pretty the other night!! The sunset was unreal. And my ghetto camera didn't do a bad job capturing it. YES.
I finally tried poutine. It's not bad. Even at McDonals.
REALLY. PEOPLE KEEP FEEDING US.
