Hello Family!!
I hope you all had a fabulous Father's Day! And you're loving your summer time! So I'm still in Milton but things are always so different with a new companion! Sister Morgan actually served in this ward about a year ago so it's nice that she knows a lot of the people and she's pretty familiar with the place!
CROATIAN FEELS THE SPIRIT: I'm awful and I still don't know the name of Helena's mom. But we met with them again this week and had an awesome lesson! We taught the Restoration and Helena would translate for her mom. Well about half way through her mom was saying she understood and to stop translating. What? She also said when we prayed she felt chills and knew it was the spirit! Her mom is way religious and apparently very in tune with the spirit! The good news is she speaks Italian and we have material in Italian so she's been watching and reading things on-line! And loves it. Yahoo! Helena isn't as religious but she's been very open and likes meeting with us because we are "very smiley." Ha I love them and hope they will accept a baptism date!
CUTE KIDDOS ALL OVER: I'm not really sure why, but kids love me! The other day I told this five year old girl that she had a really cute dress on. She ran up and gave me a hug!!! Oh my gosh, it was so sweet! And her parents got kind of mad at her while they were walking away, which totally broke my heart. But the hug made me feel so much love from her and from God. He really does place people in our lives to make us feel loved! The next day we were walking by a family who was outside and we started talking to them. The boy came over to me and started holding my hand! He kept on looking at me and smiling. And then he wanted to show me all of his toys. So cute, right? Wow, I love kids!! I seriously can't wait to see all of my nieces and nephews when I come home!
LUCA: We dropped by his house the other day and ended up talking to him for about 45 minutes. He had so many questions about our missions and super random things about the church. But at one point we were talking about the Book of Mormon and he was like, "I can't deny that the Book of Mormon is true. It's real people's experiences." Oh man, that made me smile. I'm so excited for him to read more of the Book of Mormon and gain a stronger testimony of it. He's going out of town for two weeks so that stinks that he won't be able to meet with us for a while. But before he left we printed off some good conference talks to answer some of his questions and we gave him some travelling treats.
BIKING AND WALKING ALL OVER TOWN: We have certain amount of kilometres we can drive each month. It's pretty much enough for church and meetings and visiting members who aren't in Milton. So when we are in Milton we ride our bikes or walk. Sister Morgan was a little bit scared about the bikes at first but she got on like a champ and doesn't mind them now. YAHOO! But I felt a little bad because her first day we biked like 20's. Then we walked for a couple hours after that. She was feeling pretty sore.
ZONE CONFERENCE: Wow, I love meetings so much. President and Sister Clayton had such amazing instructions! I alwats feel the spirit and learn so much when I'm around them. We talked about helping our investigators and members understand the importance of keeping the Sabbath day holy. We read Exodus 31:13 13 "Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you." Then we talked about what sign we want to give God on the Sabbath. I thought about Sundays growing up and wow, they were the best! I have such amazing memories playing games, singing around the piano and eating yummy food on Sunday ALL TOGETHER AS A FAMILY! Mom, you taught us well. And now you are all doing such a good job teaching your kiddos how to fully keep the Sabbath day holy. It's amazing. I want to be like all of you when I grow up! :)
We had a senior couple also give little instructions the Sister spent a lot of time talking about Elder Perry! She said that he was at one of her stake conferences and she saw that he was smiling at a bunch of kids. All of the kids automatically started smiling and she talked about how contagious his smile was. She had a bunch of pictures of him and my eyes totally got watery! I thanked her afterwards and told her how much that meant to me!
Anyways, life is good! I love you all a lot and pray for you all the time!
