Hello Family! So I officially have passed my half way mark on my mission. Is that the craziest thing you've ever heard? I'm freaking out. And yeah, we had a little party to celebrate. We bought Tim Bits because you know, we're living in Canada and they are YUM and we bought candles and it was so happy! Time really does go by fast but I'm so glad I still have a lot of months to go! This week we worked so hard and saw so many miracles! It was amazing. We found 8 new investigators for our area!!!! And they're super awesome! We are so excited about all of these people and we really do pray that we can help them progress.
BIKING IN A SKIRT IS SO HARD: You guys... it's stressful, but also hilarious. The whole time I'm freaking out because my skirt is flying up or getting close to the tire or I'm laughing so hard because we look ridiculous! But we're getting some serious exercise in, so that's cool. The first day we got them we were so excited and rode A TON. Well we were super sore that night and they next day.... Like we couldn't walk normal. Cool. But bike riding is just too much fun so we keep on doing it! Oh funny story, Sister Chelson was riding her bike and her skirt totally got caught in the tire!! HAHA And it got super dirty! It was hilarious. Man, we couldn't stop laughing. The good news is we haven't crashed.
OUR COOL NEIGHBOURS: So remember how last week we did some service for our neighbours? Well guess what? They are interested in the Gospel!!! When we were working on their yard earlier this week we asked if we could come back sometime and share a message with them. They said yes, so we went back on Saturday. It was such an amazing lesson! We taught Dainia (mom) and Cynthia (grandma) the Restoration and they understood it! And asked bomb questions! And Dainia was like, "I feel like I'm like Joseph Smith, searching for the truth." We promised her that truth does come from God and as she reads from the Book of Mormon and prays sincerely about it she could come to know of the same truth! We bought a member to that lesson who was just perfect!! The lesson was powerful and we're so excited to go back!! Oh and I messed up on her husbands name. Awkward. It's totally not Richard Dixon. (That name sounds familiar and I have no idea why.) But his name is Phil Dixon or people would call him Dr. Dixon I guess! So look him up instead :) We haven't met him yet because he's been out of town with his basketball team but we're hoping to make him an investigator this week!
BEING LED TO DOORS: Another miracle was Sonya. We were contacting in a less-active members area when we knocked on Sonya's door. She heard us say that we were missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She smiled and invited us in!! What? That never happens. Luckily we had some time, so we talked to her and found out that she's from India but lived in America for two years with members!! She remembered the song, "I Am a Child of God." So we sang it for her. She told us that if she still lived in America she would be going to our church. We let her know about our congregation in Milton and she wants to come sometime. We're so excited to meet with her and her husband again. They are both very open to all religions and super sweet.
TRIPANION: We have a little girl in our ward who loves us. She's adorable. Her name is Gracie and she really likes to follow us around. After she sat with us in sacrament meeting we made her a tag and told her she was a missionary! She loved it. Then that night we went to her house and she had on her mom's real missionary tag. She was so happy to show us! It was so cute.
CRAZY CONNECTIONS: We have an awesome couple in our ward who is moving to Provo! They had a goodbye party last night and while I was talking to her she found out I went to Provo High and asked if I knew Hansen Ringer. Uh, yeah. We totally went to high school together and graduated the same year. Well he's their nephew. Weird right. And then their daughters best friend is Eleanor Jackson! Who served with mom and who is engaged to my friend Mitchell Barton. Sister Taylor and I were freaking out.
MEMORIZING ALL DAY EVERY DAY: This week Sister Chelson and I decided to memorize The Living Christ. It's going so well! We have half of it memorized! Sister Chelson is a rockstar and is super patient with me when I say if for the 10th time wrong! HAHA It's been a struggle but it's coming! :)
FOOD FOR DAYZ: Our members love us and they're amazing. We get fed a lot. LIKE A LOT. This last week we got fed 11 times. So let's just say I'm super grateful we just got bikes. :) It's needed.
OK I love you all a lot. Like way more than you think!! And I pray for you all the time! Hope you have an amazing week!
Love you!
Sister Dayton
