May 11, 2015

Family!! Oh my goodness, it was so good to see you all yesterday! Thanks for all taking time out of your Sunday to Skype! It was good to hear how everyone was doing. And sorry the beginning was a little confusing, but I'm so glad it all worked out!

TRANSFERS: So yeah. I'm not in Toronto any more. It's so weird. I had been there for over eight months and I was getting very used to it. I really did grow to love it so much. And the YSA area.... Yeah, I was obsessed. Saying bye was extremely hard! I cried when I said bye to Ana, Sarah, and Aled. DUMB. And I was just kind of grumpy Sunday night and all Monday. But then Tuesday came. Transfers are are always kind of fun because you got to see a lot of missionaries! I saw Sister Bott at the Toronto Stake Center, which was so much fun!! She's going to be in Toronto so we were sad I was leaving the zone while she was coming in but it was so good to talk to her for a second. I also got to see my first district leader, Elder Wiratma! He's now home so that's weird. But I learned so much from him and it was fun to say bye to him before he headed home. So a van came to the Toronto Stake Center and took me and 3 Elders to the Brampton Stake Center. Yeah, I was the only girl in the car and that was awkward. But it got even worse when we went to the Brampton Stake Center and my companion wasn't there. And there were no sisters there... Elder Vang (missionary from Weston ward) and his companion were there handing out keys and organizing other things. So I was talking to them and the assistants came up and were so confused. I just told them I was looking for my new companion. She had gone with other SIsters to pick up pizza for everyone. Luckily, the Passmore's were there so I got escorted into their room. Ha. I just hung out with them for a little bit and eventually my companion came back and I met her :)

SISTER CHELSON!! OH MY GOODNESS! I got so lucky again because she's AWESOME! We are having so much fun together. Like, we're always laughing but don't even stress because we're working so hard too!! She's from Rexberg! It's funny, 3/4 of my companions have been from Idaho. But anyways there are 7 kids in her family so HOLLA! She was going to school at BYU-Idaho before her mission and she's going into construction! HAHA yes! She played basketball and soccer and loves BYU sports, so that's nice. But most importantly she's on a mission for the right reason. She's so obedient and focused and I feel like she's training me! :) I'm learning so much from her. We've had such a blast and we're going to work hard to strengthen this area!!

MILTON: AHHH It's so clean. Like SO CLEAN. I forgot how much I liked clean areas. The first two days I couldn't stop commenting about it. And our apartment? SO BOMB! It's clean and doesn't smell like weed all the time. No drunk guys have slept outside our door. They have an exercise room! And it has really nice equipment. Yahoo. I hear Milton is the fastest growing community in North America!! I'm not sure if that's true but I would believe it. There is a ton of construction everywhere. And houses are popping up like daisies. But there are cute, clean neighbourhoods with adorable houses! It's fun tracting in cute neighbourhoods because we rate the houses and just talk about them.

THE WARD: So there isn't a ward in Milton... It's in Oakville. But the ward is awesome. So many amazing people! I'll just write about a few of them!
Stothhearts: We skyped at their house. Super cute family. We went hiking with Sister Stotheart and our investigator Sue this morning! It was so much fun.
Sister Healey: She's a recent convert and LOVES missionaries. And treats us so well! She took us to an all you can eat Sushi restaurant! So nice!!! Oh and the other day she scrubbed our feet. No joke. We were tracting in her neighbourhood and dripping sweat and needing water so we stopped by to get a drink. But then she wanted to wash our feet with a cold cloth. And we said no like 5 times but she insisted... Ha so sweet!
Saunders: Brother Saunders was one of the first black members of the church to receive the Priesthood!! Well about five years he and his wife got in a car accident and Sister Saunders became mentally handicap. Brother Saunders takes care of her and loves her so much. When we got over he's feeding her or sitting by her and holding her hand. Oh my, I want the church to do a mormon message about him. He's so loving and his testimony is unreal. Last week when we were there and a  care giver came over for Sister Saunders and we started talking to her. Well she is one of our new investigators :) Yahoo.
Everyone else is way cool, I'm just running out of time. But it's so amazing to continue to see such amazing members in different wards.

I love you all SO MUCH!

Saying bye to Ana :( She's so awesome.
SUSHI! I'm loving it these days!
