Family!! Hello! I hope your week went well! This last week was awesome! We had a lot of cool experiences and I feel like I'm totally IN LOVE with the branch now. Oh and it was totally warm this last week! YAHOO! By warm I mean 0!! Ha
FUNNY STORY: The missionaries and I were talking about Utah the other day and Elder Folsom asked what makes it so cool. So I was telling him about everything cool in Utah and I said there are a ton of bomb hikes (like cook hikes, right?) And Elder Mangakahia was like, "so are they super spiritual?" Uh what? He thought "bomb" was "BOM" and meant Book of Mormon hikes! HAHAHA Apparently they don't use the word bomb in Australia.
CREEPER OF THE WEEK: So remember the creeper last week? His name Sai and he told some of his friends about us. Normally we love referrals but we didn't love this one. We got a phone text from his friend Shayan who said, "They said you are nuns, who do sexual activities." Wow, way off. Don't worry, we didn't meet with him.
ZONE CONFERENCE: Wow, it was so good! Like, I can't even tell you about it. President is truly inspired and his instruction was amazing! My favorite part was the ending where the departing missionaries bore their testimonies. Elder Kunz, who is a zone leader in North York, bore his testimony and it was so powerful. He talked about how his father died a couple months before he came on his mission and a couple days before he left he was going through all of his dads belongings. He found his dad's missionary badge and has wore it on his mission everyday. Then he bore his testimony on the Plan of Salvation and how it has given him so much motivation to be the best he can be here on earth so he can live with his earthly father and his Father in Heaven in the next life. He said it a lot more beautifully and was tearful so I totally started crying!
SKATE CONFERENCE: Wow, it was awesome! SARAH came and it was amazing. Earlier in the week we were telling her about priesthood blessings and she was saying that she would like one because school has been so stressful. We planned to meet up with the Elders after conference so they could give her a blessing. So she speaks Farsi and the Farsi missionaries were there!! We talked to them and they said they could give her the blessing! Sarah loved talking to them. We went into a smaller room so she could get a blessing. Elder Whitney gave the blessing and I couldn't understand anything but the Spirit was SO strong! After the blessing Sarah was saying that she felt so much hope and love. She couldn't stop smiling and she was just glowing! She came up and gave me a hug and thanked me for invited her to come. Wow, I love her so much!!
DEEP: We had our lesson with him a couple days ago and it went so well! We taught the end of the Restoration and he totally felt the Spirit. We had a member who came with us and her comments were awesome. She added her testimony so simply and so beautifully and it was perfect! At the end we invited him to be baptized and he said yes! Ah I was so excited! He's from India but his religious background is Hindu so it's OK. He asked me what my name was and guess that it was Jason. Hum close.
FOOD: So this week was crazy and we got fed 11 times. I'm not kidding. It was THE BEST!
Love you all!!
