First things first! I'M STAYING IN BRANTFORD WITH SISTER ARNOLD!
Man we are so pumped! Today our transfer news email said, "Arnold/Dayton- You two are awesome! Don’t have too much fun this transfer! No movement!" What? We never have too much fun... And other happy transfer news - Sister Bott and Sister Chelson are both becoming STL's! YAHOO! I have the best babies ever! So exciting! Oh man, I'm so happy about it all. Sister Arnold and I totally wanted to be together for Christmas!! And we have such great relationships with the members in the ward so Christmas will be AWESOME! We already have some plans with members on Christmas Eve and Christmas! And with the Christmas initiative? Man, all of December is just going to be so happy!! Well, this week was literally full of miracles! So I'll just tell some stories right now!
Miracle #1: As part of the new mission vision we ask for referrals at the beginning and end of each lesson. And instead of just saying, "who needs the Gospel?" we ask at the beginning of the lesson for them to be in tune with the spirit and to be thinking of people that need this message and at the end of the lesson we ask who the spirit has brought into their minds that needs the message that we're sharing with them. We were teaching an active member family and at the end asked for referrals. They said that no one came to mind so we committed them to pray about it and promised that the Holy Ghost would bring someone to their minds who would be open to meeting with us. So a couple days later we get a call from Sister Wu telling us that as she was praying, her friend Jenny came into her mind! So she called Jenny and asked her if she would be open to meeting with us. Sure enough, Jenny was willing to! Sister Wu set up an appointment and we taught Jenny at Sister Wu's house! Isn't that situation beautiful!? Member missionary work is the BEST!!!
Miracle #2: We were talking to someone on the street and during the conversation a man walked past but totally stopped when he saw us and stood on the side. So when our conversation ended with the first guy we said hello to the second guy. And he said, "I can't believe I ran into you sisters. I'm a member of the church and haven't been active for years! But the other day I saw a Book of Mormon at Value Village and I bought it. I've been reading it everyday since and I've wanted to get in contact with the church but didn't have any numbers written down." AHHHHH!! So we got his information and we're meeting with him tomorrow!!
Miracle #3: On Wednesday Sister Arnold and I were on the freeway coming back from an exchange. Sister Arnold was driving and was prompted to get into the right lane, so she did. A couple mins later there was a car that was driving super fast the OPPOSITE WAY on the freeway! In the passing lane!!!! Like, the car was coming towards us!!! Oh my gosh, we were both in shock because WHAT THE HECK, that doesn't happen. But then we realized what a miracle it was that Sister Arnold was guided by the Holy Ghost to move out of that lane. I really do know that the Holy Ghost's guidance protects us spiritually and physically! A few days later a member said that it was on the news!! Isn't that crazy?
Miracle #4: At a zone conference meeting we have a few months ago President Clayton promised us that if we apply the mission vision in our areas we will baptize every transfer and we'll be so busy that we won't have time set aside to find. But we won't need to find the elect because the elect will find us! Well, the other day we were at the library about to start our lesson with Brother East. Someone came up to our table, pulled out a chair and sat down. I was confused... I was thinking that maybe Sister Arnold knew him from the last time her served here. Or he was one of Brother East's friends. We started talking to him and he was like, "I had no idea there were bible studies at the library? Would you allow me to join you?" YES!!! We talked about the Book of Mormon and Brother East bore his testimony on how he knew for himself that it was true. Christian was so interested and we read Moroni 10 with him! He totally wants to learn more and we set up an appointment! 1 new in Brantford!! BLESSINGS, eh?
Miracle #5: I got to go on exchanges with Sister Bott!! It was a miracle because we were both able to see how much we've changed! We served together exactly one year ago! We were both new in the mission so we tried our best but we've been able to learn A LOT! That's for sure! It was way fun to catch up with her! And to find and teach with her again!! Man, Sister Bott is such a solid missionary! I learned so much from her on our exchanges! She's amazing!!!
Funny story #1: We were in charge of a missionary breakfast before our zone meeting. A few days before we called missionaries and told them what their assignment was. Sister Arnold told some Elders to bring "3 cans of consecrated orange juice." BAHAHAHA she meant to say concentrated. We are in missionary mode!
Funny story #2: We were in zone council and a sister leaned over to me and told me I had pen all over my check! BAHAHA. I guess I wasn't paying attention and I drew all over my face. Cool.
Funny story #3: I was in a musical number and totally forgot that the Elders were doing the second verse. The first line of the song was all of the Elders and Sister Dayton... Sister Arnold finally elbowed me and then I realized! HA Rookie mistake.
OK I love you all and I want to invite you all to watch and share "A Savior is Born!" It's such a sweet video and it will help people realize the the true meaning of Christmas!

After 15 months of emailing weekly I just discovered these cool pics/symbols!! HAHA
