December 29, 2014

You have no idea how happy skyping on Christmas was. OH MY GOODNESS. The best! After we skyped, Sister Bott and I just talked about how awesome our families are and I couldn't stop smiling. It was so good to talk to all of you and see you and your adorable families!

TRANSFERS: Wow, last night I was STRESSING OUT. I've been in Weston for 3 transfers so I was scared they would move me. Around 10 we were in our bedroom and we heard our phone ring in the other room. WE BOTH SCREAMED SO LOUD. It was a little crazy. When we picked up the phone it was our district leader. He just wanted some info on our investigators but while we were on the phone he got a call from the mission home so we ended our conversation a little early. We were freaking out even more because they call in zones, so if we were getting a call it would be soon! We were just running in circles, literally, and panicking and IT RANG AGAIN. I don't know what's wrong with me but I THREW THE PHONE!?!? I meant to throw it on the couch but it hit the wall and landed under the couch. Don't worry, it was still ringing. We were like laughing and shaking and it was crazy. We finally got it and it was our district leader again. I guess it was a relief but in that moment we were freaking out. So we didn't get any call from the mission home and we're staying together in Weston. It's crazy I will be in Weston for 1/3 of my mission! I LOVE IT.

BEING DEAD: So remember how on Christmas I was like, "I think I'm fine now. I was sick yesterday but I'm good." Woah I was way off. Christmas night was a nightmare. I was throwing up lots and my temperature went up to 103. I slept on the bathroom floor for most of the night. And that whole next day was miserable. I had a crazy headache. And I had NO ENERGY and I didn't want to eat anything, so I didn't. All day. I spent the day sleeping, trying to read but getting dizzy, laying on my bed staring at the wall, and looking and feeling like death. It was nice. I'm all better now, I think. Ha We went to work the next day... Maybe that was a bad choice but I couldn't handle being inside all day two days in a row.

CREEPER OF THE WEEK: The other day we got a call from a number that wasn't saved. I answered it and realized in a second this person was drunk and was at a crazy party. So this is our conversation. "Hey baby girl, how you doin?" "Uh, who is this?" "Baby, you don't remember me? It's your man Berry." "Oh man, we got to go, have a nice night." BERRY IS BACK. Remember the creepy man who held my hand and asked me out? Yeah, I'm hoping he never calls again because he's gross.

At the bus stop this man walked up and wreaked of alcohol. I was scared so didn't talk to him but he started talking to us. "You two are beautiful." "oh thanks, that's nice of you to say." Well he started telling us that I would really connect with his son... Then he changed it up and said that I would really connect with him... OK I'm confused. I was holding cards and he asked for one so I had to give him one. Luckily he hasn't called :)

ZYRA'S BAPTISM: Zyra got baptized!! It was so happy. She's ADORABLE. We taught her but because it wasn't a convert baptism we weren't in charge of it. The mins before the baptism were a little bit crazy. First of all, we didn't know where she was... I saw them at sacrament meeting but I guess they left. We called them like 10 times and her mom finally answered and was like, "we're on our way, don't worry." THEN when she got there no one knew what Zyra would wear. I was playing piano but the Elders went to go grab one in the closet but there were no little ones. And the other closet that they checked was locked. So they were running around trying to find keys so she could get a small white jumper. It all worked out and she found a cute little one!

CHURCH: President and Sister Clayton came to our ward. And it was awesome. They stayed for all 3 hours. They spoke in Sacrament meeting so I'm really glad we had 4 investigators there. Their talks were amazing. The third hour we were with Primary but President Clayton sat by Fumiko and talked to her for like 15 mins about family history after church. The Claytons are such amazing examples!!! And I still love the ward so much. I feel so loved in the ward and it's the best. I feel bad sometimes because the missionaries talk about how I'm the favorite missionary in the ward... I have been here the longest so I've been able to build pretty good relationships with the members but I make the effort.

DEE, KENDRA, AND MARIO: So you all already know that I'm obsessed with them but wow, I love them so much. They gave us Christmas presents and they have nothing. We were so touched. It was this spa kit, with lotion, spray, and body wash. So nice. Anyways, they came to church on Sunday and they were on time. YAHOO! They stayed for all 3 hours and the baptism after. They were at the church for over 4 hours and they loved it. Mario was awesome in primary. We did singing time and Mario was so polite and respectful. Man, I've got to take some pictures with them so you can see how cute they are. They're looking really good for January 11th!!!

QUESTION: I decided I didn't want to do it anymore. Ha.

THE CHURCH IS TRUE!! I'm so happy here and I love you all a lot.

Passmores party! They are the best. There was a ton of food and presents and games and it was happy.
