Hey Playas!
It's been soooo long. PSYCH. I e-mailed you like 4 days ago. Ha. But I still have a lot I can write about.
Jordan: He's our progressing investigator who is super awesome!! He's been reading and praying every day and loved church this last Sunday. He is working towards being baptized on the 27th! YAHOO. Our ward mission leader is super awesome and always picks Jordan up for church and is an amazing fellowshipper for him!
OUR 2 NEW: Kevin and Edison! So the sisters met Edison on Monday night and they taught him and he became a new investigator. Then on Wednesday we met with him again and he brought his friend Kevin! We taught them the Restoration and the lesson went really well. They both committed to come to church and they both said they wanted to be baptized! HOLLA! The bad news is they were at a party on Saturday night and didn't get home until 6:00 AM Sunday morning so they didn't make it to church. There is always next week!
MOM DON'T READ THIS: So one of our returning members that we are working with has 19 pet rats... Sister Vance told me that before the appointment and I was literally shaking when I went! HAHA. I was imagining 5 rats running out when we opened the door but luckily that didn't happen. They were all in their cage. The first half of the lesson went really well then the second half of the lesson she brought out one of the rats and it was running along the couch and all over her body... Like the rat went down her shirt and she didn't react to it at all. Like, that's the nor for her. Then she said that the rats clean her fingernails and her TEETH! I think my face turned pale or something and I couldn't talk. I was literally in shock. But you know what? Our message is for everyone!! So it's OK.
STL STUFF: Sister Vance and I are so excited for this transfer. We have a focus for all of the sisters and it's to "Forget Yourself And Go To Work!" This is something that helped me so much at the beginning of my mission. The first couple of days I missed family, dance, friends, concerts and I felt bad for myself. But when I truly got lost in the work I WAS SO HAPPY!! We're going to have different commitments each week of something they can do to get lost in the work and it's going to be great! So we're over 6 companionship's and we are supposed to go on exchanges with them twice in the next 6 weeks. So we'll stay pretty busy but I'm so excited to go on exchanges and get to know all of the sisters better! I only knew 2 of them (Sister Bott and Sister Guerra) so it will be a party!
STAYING BUSY: We taught 26 lessons this last week. It was crazy busy! I loved it! I'm trying so hard to remember everyone's names but it's been a serious struggle! Sister Vance is so patient with me when I ask what someones name is for the 50 time! She's awesome. Cool story, she was also trained by Sister Crandall so we are mission sisters! :)
So many people from Milton e-mailed me and I seriously miss them SO MUCH! Joshua got my e-mail from his mom and sent me the sweetest e-mail!! Too bad I can't e-mail him back. I was so blessed to serve there! I still pray and think about people from that area all the time!
OK I LOVE YOU ALL!!
Sister Dayton
