Hello Family! This last week was super awesome! GUESS IF MILTON HAS A PROGRESSING INVESTIGATOR? YES, WE DO!! FINALLY.
STEVE: So yeah, he's our investigator that used to be drunk at every lesson. BUT, he's been sober for 5 days!!! And he came to church! And he's been reading and praying everyday!! And he has a baptisimal date for September 6th! Ah MAN. It's so exciting. He came to church this last Sunday and it was a great experience. We had stake conference and he loved the talks about keeping the Sabbath Day holy. The ward did an amazing job at welcoming him in. After the meeting ended we probably introduced Steve to like 15 people. A lot of them came up on their own too. They all told him they hope he comes back next week. One of our less active members we've been meeting with was especially friendly to him and invited him to come over for dinner sometime. It was amazing to watch how loving all of the ward members were towards him. Steve texted us a couple times after saying "thank you" because he enjoyed it so much. He's already changed so much! The atonement is so powerful, WOW!
SPIRITUAL SONGS: We dropped by Helena one day and sang, "A Childs Prayer." She was crying so hard because she loved that song so much. It was so cool to see how touched by the spirit she was through music. It's such a good way to invite and feel the spirit of God.
PRAYING FOR DAYZ... WELL KIND OF: You all know that I get way distracted!! So when I pray in my head my thoughts totally wander. So now I got into another room before bed so I can say my prayers out loud. Well it normally works really well. I stay awake and focused then go to bed. But the other night I started thinking about things and then the next thing I knew I was asleep. Well I work up, got up and my knees were really hurting!! I had no idea how long I had been kneeling down, so I checked the clock and it was 11:45! BAHAHAHA I had been there for over an hour! What a rookie!!
BLUE JAYS: I know I'm on a mission but just because I'm in Ontario I have to brag about the Toronto Blue Jays for just one second. THEY ARE KILLING IT THIS SEASON! Everyone is talking about it, so we hear about the games here and there. And the other day we were walking past an outdoor restaurant who was playing a baseball game and I saw that they were playing the New York Yankees!! And we were ahead. HOLLA. Pretty sure when I get home I'll always be a supporter of the Blue Jays! I went to the stadium when I was in Toronto and it was TIGHT. Maybe someday I'll go to a game. Anyways, if I see any of the players around I'll be sure to invite them to learn about Jesus Christ, because let's be honest, that's even better than baseball!!
PART MEMBER FAMILY: We dropped by a less active member who hasn't been to church in years and they answered the door! YAHOO. But even better than that he was so friendly and introduced us to his wife who is a non-member. We talked to them for like 20 mins - just getting to know them and they invited us to come back next week to have dinner with them. YAHOO! It was a blessing. The wife is religious and said we could share a message next time we come. We're excited!
OK I love you all lots and hope you have an awesome week!
Sister Dayton
One time I saw Barbie by the lamp and thought... "Whoa, her hair could totally start a fire." So I moved her and saw this... I promise we learned our lesson!! And we don't leave any lights on when we do leave.
The one and only BROTHER AND SISTER SAUNDERS. I'm still obsessed with him.
BUNS FOR DAYZ. It's like 33 degrees Celsius so I have to...
Barbie likes to play hide and seek.
